Devotees are now reporting that Special Darshan is being allowed at the Nadapandhal, with some pilgrims claiming that a few police personnel are involved in giving this preferential access. These reports have created concern and frustration among ordinary devotees.
While thousands wait for hours in the regular queue, a separate line moves forward instantly. This not only causes irritation but also disrupts crowd discipline and safety.
Sabarimala’s strength lies in one principle—equality. Every devotee, regardless of status, is meant to follow the same path and the same discipline. When shortcuts appear, that equality breaks.
