Complaint That Sabarimala Pilgrim Group Was Forced Off KSRTC Bus in Forest; Elderly and Child Among Members

Pathanamthitta: A complaint has been raised alleging that a group of Sabarimala pilgrims was forced to get off a KSRTC bus. The complaint is against the driver of the Pamba–Thiruvananthapuram KSRTC service.

The incident reportedly occurred near Nilakkal, where the group of Sabarimala pilgrims, including women, was allegedly made to Get off from the bus at night. The 13-member group from Kollam included elderly women and a child.

The pilgrims had boarded the bus at Pamba to travel to Nilakkal. However, they claim that instead of stopping at the Nilakkal bus stand, the driver dropped them about one kilometer away in a forested area. According to the group, the driver informed them that the bus would not enter the Nilakkal stand and then drove off.

After being stranded in the forest area for some time, the pilgrims were able to continue their journey only after waiting and arranging another vehicle. The group stated that they would file a complaint against the Pamba–Thiruvananthapuram KSRTC driver with Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar.
