Brahmakalasha Abhishekam Performed for Lord Guruvayurappan
The Kalasha rituals conducted in connection with the Guruvayur Annual Temple festival were completed successfully. This morning, after the completion of the Seeveli and Pantheeradi Pooja, the sacred Kalasham was ceremoniously taken inside the temple, followed by the Valiyapani ritual.
During the noon pooja, the highly sacred Sahasra Kalasha Abhishekam and Brahmakalasha Abhishekam were performed for Lord Guruvayurappan. The Brahmakalasha Abhishekam was carried out under the chief priesthood of Temple Thantri Brahmashree Chennas Dinesan Namboodiripad, with Brahmashree Chennas Krishnan Namboodiripad officiating the ceremony.
Melsanthi Brahmashree Sudhakaran Namboodiri carried the Brahmakalasham, while Othikkans Kakkad Vasudevan Namboodiri carried the Kumbhesa Kalasham, and Keezhsanthi Manchira Krishnaprasad Namboodiri carried the Karkari Kalasham after receiving the sacred blessings.
Devaswom Chairman Dr. V.K. Vijayan, board members Brahmashree Mallisseri Parameswaran Namboodiripad, Shri C. Manoj, Shri K.P. Viswanathan, Shri Manoj B. Nair, Shri K.S. Balagopal, Administrator O.B. Arun Kumar, temple Othikkans, Keezhsanthis, and devotees were present during the auspicious ceremony.
The festival flag hoisting (Kodiyettam) will take place tomorrow night under the Pooyam star. The ceremonial elephant race (Aanayottam), marking the beginning of the annual festival, will be held tomorrow at 3:00 PM. The famous Aanayillaa Seeveli at the temple will be conducted at 6:30 AM tomorrow.
