Sabarimala Pilgrimage 2025–26: Virtual Queue and Facilities Finalised

The online virtual queue booking for the upcoming Sabarimala Mandala pilgrimage season will begin on November 1. A total of 70,000 devotees will be allowed to book slots through the virtual queue system each day, while 20,000 devotees will be permitted spot bookings. Spot booking centres will be available at Nilakkal and Pampa for the convenience of pilgrims.

At Pampa, facilities are being enhanced to accommodate devotees — ten resting sheds and a German-style shelter will be prepared, providing space for 10,000 people to rest at a time. These arrangements were finalized during the Sabarimala review meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister V. N. Vasavan.

The Travancore Devaswom Board will also prepare 50 lakh tins of Aravana as buffer stock for the season. The meeting was attended by TDB President P. S. Prasanth, senior officials from various departments, and the District Collectors of Pathanamthitta and Idukki.

The Sabarimala temple will open for the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage on November 16 at 5 p.m. It will close on December 27 after the Mandala Pooja, and reopen on December 30 for the Makaravilakku festival, which falls on January 14, 2026. The temple will finally close on January 20, 2026, marking the end of this year’s pilgrimage season.
