Sabarimala Airport: Revenue Department Initiates Field Survey for Land Acquisition
Kottayam: The Revenue Department will commence a field survey on Today for the acquisition of 1,039 hectares of land across Erumeli South and Manimala villages, following the completion of preliminary data collection for the proposed Sabarimala airport.
The survey, a critical step toward land acquisition, will involve one Revenue Department surveyor and five temporary surveyors. The department has confirmed no legal obstacles exist for conducting the survey in the Cheruvally estate.
The process will begin in Manimala village, where the digital survey is complete, before proceeding to Erumeli South. The ongoing digital survey in the Cheruvally estate must conclude before field operations can start there.
