Sabari Express Gets New Timings – Starts September 29

In a significant step aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing travel time, Indian Railways has announced the conversion of the Sabari Express into a Superfast Express service, effective from September 29, 2025. The popular train connecting Secunderabad and Thiruvananthapuram will be upgraded with new train numbers and a revised timetable.
What’s Changing:
Train No. 17230 (Secunderabad–Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express) will now run as Train No. 20629 Sabari Superfast Express.
Train No. 17229 (Thiruvananthapuram–Secunderabad Sabari Express) will now run as Train No. 20630 Sabari Superfast Express.

Starts from Thiruvananthapuram Central: 6:45 AM
Chengannur: 8:56 AM
Kottayam: 9:37 AM
Reaches Secunderabad: 11:00 AM (Next Day)
Train 20629 – Secunderabad to Thiruvananthapuram
Departs Secunderabad: 2:25 PM
Kottayam: 2:12 PM (Next Day)
Chengannur: 2:55 PM
Arrives at Thiruvananthapuram Central: 6:20 PM
