Sabarimala to Open Tomorrow for Kanni Maasa Pooja
The Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple will open tomorrow, September 16, at 5 PM for the Kanni Maasa Pooja and will close on September 21 at 10 PM. The sanctum sanctorum will be opened by Melsanthi Arunkumar Nampoothiri in the presence of Thantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru while the Mallikapuram temple will be opened by Melsanthi Vasudevan Namboothiri.
Over the five days, special rituals including Sahasrakalasam, Kalabhabhishekam, Udayasthamana Pooja, Ashtabhishekam, Pushpabhishekam, and Padi Pooja will be performed. Devotees can secure entry through online booking or spot passes at Nilakkal and Pampa.
A heavy rush is expected on September 20 as the Global Ayyappa Sangamam will be held at Pampa, drawing devotees from across the world. KSRTC has arranged special bus services to manage the pilgrim flow
