Thiruvabharana Darshan at Pandalam Palace Begins
The Thiruvabharana Malika at Pandalam Srambikkal Palace will be open to devotees from December 31 to January 11, daily between 5:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
On January 12, 2025 (Dhanu 28), special darshan will be available at the Pandalam Valiya Koyikkal Temple from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
On the same day, at 1:00 p.m., the sacred Thiruvabharana caskets will begin their ceremonial journey to Sabarimala, led by the Representative of Pandalam.
the Pandalam Raja will stay at Pampa and later proceed to the Sannidhanam after Makara Vilakku. There, the Raja will conduct the Guruthi Pooja, a traditional ritual performed by the head of the region.
Historically, the Thiruvabharana Ghosha Yatra has been conducted from Pandalam since 1908, following the reconstruction of the Sabarimala Temple and the installation (Pratishta) of the new Yogasana idol of Lord Ayyappa. This tradition continues to hold great spiritual and cultural significance for devotees.
