12 Injured as Sabarimala Pilgrim Bus Overturns in Idukki; Two Critical
At least 12 people were injured after a bus overturned near Karinkunnam in Idukki district. The accident occurred at a plantation area close to Karinkunnam.
The bus was carrying Sabarimala pilgrims who had traveled from Thrissur. The accident happened while they were returning after completing their pilgrimage to the Sabarimala temple.
Rescue operations were carried out by the fire and rescue services from Thodupuzha. The injured passengers were shifted to a private hospital in Thodupuzha for treatment.
According to hospital sources, the condition of two injured persons is critical. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
