“I Have Committed No Crime,” Says Sabarimala Tantri After Medical Examination
Thiruvananthapuram: The medical examination of Kandarar Rajeevar, the Sabarimala Tantri arrested in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case, has been completed. When he arrived at the hospital for the medical examination, Kandhar Rajeevar said that he had not committed any crime. To further questions from the media, the Tantri replied with “Swami Saranam.”
After the medical examination at Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital, the SIT left for Kollam with the Tantri. The Tantri will be produced before the Vigilance Court in Kottarakkara. The SIT will inform the court that the Tantri has no health issues. The Tantri is taking medication for blood pressure and diabetes.
Reacting to the arrest, Travancore President K. Jayakumar said that he had no further response. “Whether it is gold or anything else that is lost from Sabarimala, it is a matter of sorrow. This time, more Ayyappa devotees came to Sabarimala. One should only say what one is entitled to say. I have nothing to say. I am not the person to answer these questions. I do not wish to create a controversy by saying anything. Whether it is gold or anything else, any loss is sorrowful. I have nothing to say about the arrest or the case,” Jayakumar said.
Devaswom Minister V. Vasavan also was not prepared to respond to questions.
