Retd. Justice K.T. Sankaran to Audit Gold and Silver in Sabarimala Strong Room
Amicus Curiae and retired Justice K. T. Sankaran will once again visit to conduct the inventory of gold, silver, and other valuables kept in the strong room at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The Devaswom Board has received a letter stating that he will arrive for the inspection from the 13th to the 15th.
As directed by the Kerala High Court, the inspection of the strong room at Aranmula is continuing. Along with gold, the examination is currently being conducted on precious stones such as coral, sapphire, and diamonds. The stones embedded in crowns, gold, and silver items are being inspected without removing them.
Gold and silver ornaments, valuable ritual vessels, and other offerings received at Sabarimala are recorded in the Devaswom register and official mahazar before being stored in the strong room at the Sannidhanam.
