Onam Special Trains 2026: Charlapalli–Kollam Services to Benefit Sabarimala Pilgrims
As Kollam is one of the major railheads for devotees travelling to Sabarimala, the additional trains will help pilgrims reach Kerala more comfortably during the festive season and ahead of the upcoming pilgrimage period.
The special train services will operate from August 14 to September 5, 2026, during the Onam festival season.
Train No. 07195 – Charlapalli–Kollam Express Special
Departure: Charlapalli – 7:15 AM
Arrival: Kollam – 2:00 PM the next day
Runs on: August 14, 21, 28 and September 4, 2026 (Fridays)

Train No. 07196 – Kollam–Charlapalli Express Special
Departure: Kollam – 5:20 PM
Arrival: Charlapalli – 12:30 AM (third day)
Runs on: August 15, 22, 29 and September 5, 2026 (Saturdays)

Important Halts: The Charlapalli–Kollam Express Special will halt at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, and Kollam, providing convenient connectivity for passengers travelling between Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.(sabarimalauptodate.in)

As the special trains halt at Chengannur, one of the nearest and most important railway stations for the sabarimala temple, devotees can conveniently continue their journey to Pamba by KSRTC buses and other road transport services before proceeding to the Sabarimala temple
