Sabarimala Gold Theft Case: SIT Conducts Inspection at Devaswom Board Headquarters
Thiruvananthapuram, July 16: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala Gold Theft Case conducted an inspection at the Travancore Devaswom Board headquarters. The team, led by SP S. Sashidharan, carried out a crucial inspection as part of the investigation.
The Kerala High Court had directed the SIT to submit its final report in the case by July 23. As part of this, the inspection was conducted to bring greater clarity to the investigation report.
The team primarily examined documents related to the removal of gold plates from the Sabarimala temple during the tenure of P.S. Prashanth as President of the Travancore Devaswom Board.
Meanwhile, eight months have passed since the SIT began its investigation into the Sabarimala Gold Theft Case, but the final report has not yet been submitted. The High Court had warned that the investigation should not be allowed to continue indefinitely.
