Sabarimala Set for a New Look; Devaswom Buildings at Sannidhanam, Pampa and Nilakkal to Get a Uniform Colour Scheme for the Mandala-Makaravilakku Pilgrimage

Sabarimala: As part of the Travancore Devaswom Board's efforts to adopt a more professional approach, a unified branding system will be introduced for Sabarimala. The initiative is set to be launched during the upcoming Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. The reforms aim to elevate the visual appeal and overall ambience of the pilgrimage centre to international standards.

As part of the makeover, Devaswom Board buildings at Sannidhanam, Pampa, and Nilakkal will follow a uniform colour scheme. Hotels, shops, kiosks, and other structures built in and around Sabarimala will also be required to adhere to a standardized design, colour palette, and typography.

Unauthorized advertisement boards and banners will not be permitted at Sannidhanam and Pampa. All information and directional signboards for pilgrims will also follow the same branding guidelines.

Any signboards or display boards can only be installed with the approval of a special committee. Temporary and substandard lighting systems at Sannidhanam will be replaced with professionally designed illumination under the supervision of lighting experts.

The branding and modernization drive is part of the 'Sabarimala Vision Plan–2026', with the coordination of the project being led by Travancore Devaswom Board President K. Jayakumar.
