Sabarimala Accommodation Bookings Open for August; Know the Room Check-in Process at Sannidhanam
Pathanamthitta: Devotees planning to visit the Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Swamy Temple for the Chingam Masa (August) pooja and the Onam festival can now book their Virtual Queue darshan slots and accommodation at Sannidhanam through the official online portals.
The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has released accommodation booking slots for August. The remaining accommodation slots will be released in a phased manner in the coming days, enabling more devotees to make reservations.
Room Check-in Process at Sannidhanam
Pilgrims who have reserved accommodation at Sannidhanam must first report to the Accommodation Centre to complete the check-in process. After verification, the staff will provide the details of the allotted accommodation block and room number.
Pilgrims should then proceed to the assigned accommodation building, where the room keys will be handed over. Sleeping mats and pillows are available at a charge of ₹50 per person, while bed sheets can be obtained for ₹100.
All items issued, including the sleeping mat, pillow, and bed sheets, must be returned to the allotted accommodation building before checking out.
After vacating the room, pilgrims must complete the check-out formalities at the Accommodation Centre. The refundable caution deposit paid at the time of booking will be processed only after the check-out procedure is completed.
Virtual Queue Darshan
The Virtual Queue Darshan ticket is mandatory for all devotees visiting Sabarimala. Pilgrims must reserve their darshan slot in advance through the official Sabarimala Online portal and carry either a printed or digital copy of the Virtual Queue ticket along with a valid photo ID.
The Virtual Queue ticket must be produced at the Darshan Ticket Check Point at Pampa before pilgrims are permitted to proceed to Sannidhanam for darshan.
Accommodation bookings are available through the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) portal at [www.onlinetdb.com], while Virtual Queue bookings can be made through the Sabarimala Online portal at sabarimalaonline.org.
Chingam Masa Pooja Schedule
The temple will open at 5:00 PM on August 16 for the monthly Chingam Masa pooja. The main Chingam Masa pooja will be held on August 17 with special rituals, and the shrine will remain open until 10:00 PM on August 21.
Onam Festival Schedule
The temple will reopen at 5:00 PM on August 24 for the Onam festival. Special Onam rituals will be performed on August 26, and the shrine will remain open until 10:00 PM on August 28.
Devotees planning to have darshan during either the Chingam Masa pooja or the Onam festival are required to reserve a Virtual Queue slot in advance.
The Padi Pooja will be conducted daily at 6:00 PM at Sannidhanam, except on the temple opening days.
