IAS Dilip K. Kainikkara Appointed as Sabarimala ADM Ahead of Mandalam-Makaravilakku Season
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has created an ex-cadre post of Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Sabarimala, ahead of the upcoming Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
Dilip K. Kainikkara has been appointed to the post, which is in the Senior Time Scale of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The position will be equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of Deputy Secretary to the Government.
Kainikkara will have full responsibility for coordinating the activities of all government departments and agencies operating at Sabarimala, Pampa and Nilakkal in connection with the Mandalam-Makaravilakku season.
The new administrative arrangement is aimed at improving coordination among various departments and ensuring that facilities for pilgrims are provided smoothly during the pilgrimage season.
The appointment was included in the list of transfers and postings issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
