Kerala India Post CPMG Meets TDB President to Discuss Swamiprasadam Delivery Scheme; Devotees Can Receive Sabarimala Prasadam at Home
Thiruvananthapuram: Ahead of the upcoming Sabarimala Mandala pilgrimage season, Kerala Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) Shri Amitabh Singh met Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President Shri K. Jayakumar to discuss the Swamiprasadam Scheme, aimed at ensuring the seamless nationwide delivery of Sabarimala prasadam through India Post.
The meeting focused on arrangements to facilitate the convenient delivery of Swamiprasadam to devotees across the country, allowing pilgrims to receive the sacred offering at their homes through the extensive postal network.
Under the scheme, devotees can avail themselves of Sabarimala prasadam through India Post. The currently available India Post Sabarimala order form lists three package options: one Aravana for ₹520, four Aravana for ₹960 and 10 Aravana for ₹1,760. These are the prices currently available on the official India Post Government website and are subject to revision from time to time.
Each Prasadam Kit contains Aravana, Vibhuti, Turmeric & Saffron, Ghee (Aadiya Sistham Ney), and Ashtothara Archana Prasadam, making it a complete sacred offering that devotees can conveniently receive through India Post. The prasadam is delivered to the devotee's address through the postal system.
The Swamiprasadam Scheme is particularly significant during the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season, when large numbers of devotees visit Sabarimala from different parts of India. The India Post delivery facility enables devotees to receive the prasadam even after returning from their pilgrimage.
The meeting is likely to have also covered revisions and improvements to the existing Swamiprasadam delivery scheme, along with measures to strengthen coordination between the Department of Posts of India and the Travancore Devaswom Board ahead of the upcoming pilgrimage season.
