Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku Virtual Queue Booking Begins October 29; 80,000 Pilgrims Allowed Daily
Sabarimala: Virtual Queue booking for the 2026–27 Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season will begin on Thursday, October 29, at 10 AM. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) held on Monday.
A maximum of 80,000 pilgrims per day will be permitted through Virtual Queue and spot bookings combined.
Pilgrims can book their darshan slots through the official website, sabarimalaonline.org. Virtual Queue booking is completely free of charge.
The authorities have informed that spot booking facilities will be very limited during the pilgrimage season. As a result, it may not be possible to accommodate all pilgrims arriving without advance Virtual Queue reservations.
Devotees travelling without confirmed bookings may face difficulties in obtaining darshan and could experience long waiting times.
Officials have also warned that uncontrolled crowds could affect security arrangements and crowd management at Sabarimala.
Pilgrims have therefore been advised to confirm their Virtual Queue slots before beginning their journey. Those travelling from other states have been specifically requested to plan their travel schedules to reach Sabarimala within their allotted darshan time slots.
The authorities have urged all devotees to follow the booking system to ensure a safe and orderly pilgrimage season.
