Sabarimala Virtual Queue and Accommodation Bookings Open for May 2025

The bookings for the Sabarimala Virtual Queue (Virtual Q) and accommodation are now open for the May 2025 pilgrimage period. Devotees can book their darshan slots and accommodation through the official websites, sabarimalaonline.org for Virtual Q and onlinetdb.com for accommodation, ensuring a streamlined pilgrimage to the Sabarimala Sree Ayyappan Temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa and Manikandan.
Virtual Queue Booking for May 2025
The Virtual Queue system enables pilgrims to book darshan slots in advance, reducing wait times and enhancing the pilgrimage experience. For May 2025, the Sabarimala Temple will be open for the monthly pooja from May 14 to May 19, as per the Malayalam calendar. However, public darshan slots via the Virtual Queue are available only from May 14 to May 17. On May 18 -19, while the temple remains open until the Harivarasanam at 10:00 PM, no public darshan slots are open for booking. Social media reports suggest that President Droupadi Murmu may visit Sabarimala and offer darshan to Lord Ayyappa on May 18 or May 19, which could explain the unavailability of public slots. However, no official confirmation from the Travancore Devaswom Board or government authorities has been issued regarding this visit. The temple will close on May 19, 2025, at 10:00 PM after the Harivarasanam.
May 2025 Temple Schedule:
Opening Date: May 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM
Public Darshan Slots (Virtual Q): Available from May 14 to May 17, 2025,
No Public Darshan: May 18, 2025 (temple open but no Virtual Q slots for public)
Closing Date: May 19, 2025, at 10:00 PM (after Harivarasanam)
To book a Virtual Q slot, devotees should:
Visit sabarimalaonline.org and select “Virtual Queue Booking.”
Register with a valid mobile number, email ID, and ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Passport).
Select an available date and time slot from May 14 to May 17 (green indicates availability, red indicates fully booked).
Complete the booking and carry the printed Virtual Q Receipt and ID proof for verification at Pamba.
The Virtual Q ticket is free, with a ₹10 internet charge per transaction for Prasadam bookings. Children under 5 years do not require a ticket. Early booking is advised due to limited slots.
Accommodation Booking for May 2025
Accommodation bookings are available for May 14 to May 15, 2025, through onlinetdb.com, covering guest houses, cottages etc.. at Sannidhanam, managed by the Travancore Devaswom Board. Availability is indicated in green (available) or red (booked) on the booking calendar. Due to the unavailability of public darshan on May 18, accommodation bookings for that day may be limited or unavailable for the general public.
How to Book Accommodation:
Register on onlinetdb.com as a pilgrim or donor.
Log in and select dates between May 14 and May 15, 2025.
Choose from available accommodations and complete the payment process.
Carry valid ID proof for check-in.
Important Guidelines for Pilgrims
Mandatory Documents: Carry the Virtual Q Receipt and the ID proof used for booking.
Environmental Care: Avoid plastic in the Irumudikettu, as Sabarimala is within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Permissible items include dry rice, ghee-filled coconut, jaggery, bananas, betel leaves, areca nut, and kaaniponnu.
Virtual Q bookers receive a Rs. 5 lakh accidental death insurance policy. Devotees should book Virtual Q slots and accommodation early for May 14–17, as public darshan is not available on May 18, possibly due to the visit of President Murmu. The temple will close on May 19 at 10:00 PM after the Harivarasanam.
