Navagraha Consecration at Sabarimala to Take Place on July 13 with Temple Opening on July 11

Pathanamthitta: The consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Navagraha Temple near the Sabarimala Malikappuram Temple is set to take place on July 13. Preparations will begin with the temple opening on July 11 at 5 PM, followed by special poojas related to the Navagraha consecration starting from the same day. The rituals will be led by Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, who will serve as the chief priest for the consecration. The ceremony will follow the schedule prescribed by astrologer Padmanabha Sharma. With the Thantri’s approval, the temple will remain open for three days specifically for this event.

The decision to build the new Navagraha Temple at Malikappuram was made following a divine oracle (Deva Prashnam). The construction, which had been stalled for five years, was expedited and completed under the leadership of TDB. The consecration ceremony will conclude on July 13, with the temple closing at 10 PM. The temple will reopen on July 16 for the poojas of the Karkadaka month.
