Sabarimala Temple Prepares for Navagraha Temple Consecration and Monthly Rituals
Sabarimala – The sacred Sabarimala temple will open its doors tomorrow to facilitate the consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Navagraha temple near the Malikappuram temple. The temple will open at 5:00 PM in the presence of Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, with Head Priest S. Arun Kumar Namboothiri, The consecration ceremony is scheduled for July 13 between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM during the auspicious Kanni Rashi Muhurtham.Preparations will commence tomorrow with purification rituals, followed by special poojas on July 12. On July 13, the consecration will take place after rituals such as Ganapati Homam, Ushapooja, and Marappani. The new Navagraha temple was constructed following a divine oracle (Devaprashnam) that recommended relocating the existing Navagraha shrine to a more suitable location. Under the leadership of Devaswom Board President P.S. Prashant, the construction was completed. The temple will close at 10:00 PM on July 13.
Karkadaka Month Rituals and Nira Puthari Festival
The temple will reopen on July 16 for the Karkadaka month poojas and remain accessible until 10:00 PM on July 21. Additionally, the temple will open on July 29 for the Nira Puthari festival, with the main rituals scheduled for July 30.
