Children from Pandalam will participate in the draw to select the Melsanthis of Sabarimala and Malikappuram temples
Pandalam: For this year’s Sabarimala and Malikappuram Melsanthi draw, Kashyap Varma and Maithili K. Varma have been selected from the Pandalam Palace with the blessings of Valiya Thampuran Rama Varma Raja..
As per the 2011 Supreme Court directive and Justice K.T. Thomas Committee report, children from the pandalam family are nominated for the priestly selection.
The ritual Kettu Nirakkal will be held on October 17 at noon in front of the Thiruvabharana Malika, followed by darshan at the Valiya Koyikkal Temple.
Later, the group — including palace representatives Arun Kumar (Vice President) and Keralam Varma (Committee Member) — will proceed to Sannidhanam with the blessings of the family.
