Sabarimala Ayyappa Yuva Seva Samithi

Rush continues at Sabarimala; 75,463 devotees have had darshan. Smooth darshan brings relief to pilgrims

Pathanamthitta: The heavy rush at Sabarimala continues. As of this afternoon, 75,463 devotees have had darshan. Over 7,000 devotees have been allowed entry today through spot booking. Considering the rush, devotees are being allowed to climb the hill from Pampa and Nilakkal in regulated batches. This system has ensured a smooth darshan experience for the pilgrims arriving at the shrine.

Yesterday, over one lakh devotees visited Sannidhanam. According to the police, the voter turnout in seven districts has had an impact on the number of devotees arriving today.

Meanwhile, restrictions have been imposed from today on the flow of devotees through the Sannidhanam–Pullumedu route. Entry through this route will now be permitted only from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Earlier, the path was open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The change was implemented as devotees who began their trek at 1 p.m. were reaching Sannidhanam late.
