Special Trains Announced via Podanur for Sabarimala Season
COIMBATORE: To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, Southern Railway has announced the operation of special trains via Podanur.
Train No. 07126, the Kollam–Narasapur (Andhra Pradesh) special, will depart from Kollam at 2.30 am on December 29 and reach Narasapur at 12.30 pm the following day.
In addition, special train services will be operated between Charlapalli in Telangana and Kollam via Podanur. Train No. 07127, the Charlapalli–Kollam special, will depart from Charlapalli at 10.30 am on January 10 and 17, arriving in Kollam at 10.00 pm the next day.
The return service, Train No. 07128, the Kollam–Charlapalli special, will leave Kollam at 2.30 am on January 12 and 19 and reach Charlapalli at 1.20 pm the following day.
These special services are expected to provide additional travel convenience for pilgrims and other passengers during the peak season.
