2014 Devaprasna Reveals That Ayyappa Desires Daily Adornment with Thiruvabharanam
According to the Devaprasna conducted in 2014 at Sabarimala, Bhagwan Ayyappa wishes that arrangements be made for some of His sacred ornaments (Thiruvabharanam) to be worn daily. It was also revealed that special ornaments should be adorned at least on auspicious and special occasions. The Thiruvabharanam belongs solely to Lord Ayyappa.
The Devaprasna was conducted by Cheruvalli Narayanan Namboothiri, Kootanad Ravunnippanicker, and Thrikkunnappuzha Udayakumar.
In Hindu belief, a Devaprasna is performed either to determine whether anything harmful to the deity of a temple has taken place, or to ascertain whether any proposed reforms or changes in the temple are acceptable and pleasing to the deity.
