Room Booking for April Opens at Sabarimala; Meda Vishu on April 15
Pathanamthitta: Devotees planning to visit the revered Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Swamy Temple for the upcoming Medam month poojas and Vishu celebrations can now book accommodation and darshan slots online.
The Travancore Devaswom Board has opened room booking facilities at Sabarimala Sannidhanam through its official portal. Pilgrims wishing to stay at the hill shrine are advised to reserve accommodation in advance.
Along with accommodation, pooja booking slots are now available on www.onlinetdb.com.
For darshan, securing a Virtual Queue (Q) ticket is mandatory. Devotees must pre-book their darshan slots through the official website [www.sabarimalaonline.org], as entry without prior booking will not be permitted.
The temple will open on April 10 at 5:00 PM and remain accessible to devotees until April 18, closing at 10:00 PM after the completion of rituals.
The highlight of the festival period, Meda Vishu, marking the Malayalam New Year, will be celebrated on April 15. On this auspicious day, the sacred Vishu Kanni— will be made available to devotees at Sabarimala.
Authorities have urged pilgrims to adhere strictly to booking guidelines and plan their visit in advance to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience.
