Case Filed Against YouTuber for Filming Inside Sabarimala After Temple Closure
Pathanamthitta: The police at Pamba have registered a case against a YouTuber for allegedly filming and uploading a video from Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple during the period when the shrine was closed.
The 10-minute video, titled “Sabarimala After Temple Closure,” was uploaded on April 24 by a person from Chengara. According to reports, the footage was shot on April 19. The video reportedly showed visuals of the empty Pathinettam Padi (18 sacred steps) and parts of the flag mast area before ending.
Following the registration of the case, the video was removed from YouTube. The individual is believed to be an auto-rickshaw driver.
Police stated that once the temple is closed, only authorized officials are permitted to enter the Sannidhanam area, which is classified as a high-security zone. Authorities are now investigating how the person managed to gain access to the restricted area.
