Sabarimala Temple to Open from May 14 for Monthly Poojas and Annual Pratishta Dinam May 26

As the Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Swamy Temple prepares to open for the May (Edavam) monthly poojas and the Annual Pratishta Dinam, the temple will remain open from May 14 to May 19 for the Edavam month poojas, and from May 25 at 5:00 PM to May 26 at 10:00 PM for the Sabarimala Annual Pratishta Dinam.

Pratishta Dinam is observed every year on the Atham Nakshatra. The first Panchaloha idol, installed in 1908, was destroyed in 1950. Subsequently, a second Panchaloha idol was installed on Atham Nakshatra in 1951, and the Pratishta Dinam celebrations have continued annually since then.

The Travancore Devaswom Board has informed that devotees arriving for darshan must mandatorily book Virtual Queue slots through the official website : https://www.sabarimalaonline.org/

Additionally, devotees can book rooms online only up to 14 days prior to their intended stay at Sannidhanam. Bookings for dates 14 days in advance will open daily at 12:00 midnight.

Similar to the restrictions implemented during the Mandala–Makaravilakku season due to heavy pilgrim rush, accommodation at Sannidhanam during the festival period will only be ensured for devotees who arrive with proper planning. Therefore, devotees requiring accommodation are advised to check room availability on the website and complete bookings well in advance.
