Leopard Spotted at Nilakkal Devaswom Board Petrol Pump; CCTV Captures It Resting on the Premises
Sabarimala: A leopard was spotted near the Travancore Devaswom Board's petrol pump at Nilakkal, with the animal's movements captured on the pump's CCTV cameras.
The leopard reportedly entered the pump premises on Thursday evening. The petrol pump operates only during daytime, from morning until evening. Since wild animals, including elephants, frequently pass through the area at night, the staff routinely review the CCTV footage every morning before opening the facility.
On Friday morning, Devaswom employees Mahesh, Reji, and Chalanju were shocked to discover CCTV footage showing the leopard walking through the petrol pump premises and even lying down within the compound.
