Sabarimala Aravana Plant Expansion Started; Daily Production to Reach 3.25 Lakh Tins
Sabarimala: Construction work has started to increase the production capacity of the Sabarimala Aravana plant. The expansion will allow the plant to produce an additional 85,000 to 1 lakh Aravana Tins every day.(sabarimalauptodate.in)
With the expansion, the plant’s total daily production capacity will increase to 3.25 lakh tins. At present, the plant produces around 2 lakh to 2.25 lakh tins per day.
As part of the work, Six new Aravana preparation pans (Vaarppu), two cooling chambers and one boiler will be installed.
The plant currently has 26 Aravana preparation pans, six cooling chambers and six boilers.
The construction work is expected to be completed by October. After the work is completed, the plant will be able to build up a reserve stock of Aravana for the upcoming Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
