Sabarimala Jobs 2026: 30 Vacancies, ITI to PG Candidates Eligible
Pathanamthitta: Applications have been invited for the post of Technical Expert – Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in connection with the upcoming Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
A total of 30 vacancies are available. The appointments will be made on a purely temporary contractual basis and will be limited to the 2026–27 Sabarimala pilgrimage season.
The selected candidates will be deployed at Emergency Operations Centres at Nilakkal, Pampa and Sannidhanam, as well as at the District Emergency Operations Centre (DEOC) at the Pathanamthitta District Disaster Management Centre. Candidates may be transferred between these locations as required.
The role involves field-level responsibilities including emergency coordination, real-time monitoring, communication and documentation during the pilgrimage season.
Eligibility
Candidates aged between 18 and 40 years as on October 1, 2026, are eligible to apply. Applicants with qualifications ranging from ITI, Diploma, Degree to Postgraduate level can apply.
Knowledge of Malayalam and English is mandatory. Candidates who know Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada will be given preference.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in disaster management and social work, as well as registered Social Volunteer Force volunteers, Aapda Mitra volunteers and Civil Defence volunteers. However, freshers are also eligible to apply.
The remuneration will be ₹1,000 per day.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a written examination followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.
The written examination will be conducted in English and will cover areas including:
- General Knowledge
- Disaster Management
- Communication Skills
- Digital Literacy
- Local Geography

Applications must be submitted only by post in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of the required certificates. Applications submitted directly or through email will not be accepted.
The envelope should clearly carry the inscription:
“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF EOC TECHNICAL EXPERT”
Applicants must enclose copies of their educational certificates, proof of age, Aadhaar card, experience certificate (if applicable), and a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) obtained after the date of the notification. An additional passport-size photograph, with the applicant’s name and phone number written on the back, must also be enclosed.
