Opportunity to Set Up Rest Shelters for Sabarimala Pilgrims at KSRTC Bus Stations
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has invited individuals and organisations to sponsor temporary rest shelters (Viripanthals) for Ayyappa devotees at KSRTC bus stations during the 2026–27 Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
Interested individuals and organisations can participate in the initiative through sponsorship by contacting KSRTC.
The Viripanthals must provide essential facilities for pilgrims to rest and perform traditional rituals. These include seating arrangements, fans, drinking water, space for laying out bedding (Viri), and facilities for lighting traditional lamps.
Sponsors will also be permitted to display advertisements at the shelters they support. The initiative aims to provide comfortable resting facilities for Ayyappa devotees travelling to Sabarimala while encouraging voluntary participation in pilgrim welfare activities.
Interested individuals and organisations can contact their nearest KSRTC office or call 99957 07131 for further details and sponsorship arrangements.
