TDB Suspends Head Clerk Over Sabarimala Tender Information Leak
Pathanamthitta: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has suspended a head clerk at the Sabarimala Executive Office in connection with the alleged leakage of important information related to the e-auction and tender procedures at Sabarimala.
The suspended official has been identified as P.R. Rejimon, Head Clerk at the Sabarimala Executive Office.
TDB President K. Jayakumar said the action was taken at a Board meeting based on the preliminary investigation report submitted by the Devaswom Vigilance wing.
According to the Vigilance findings, tender-related information was allegedly leaked from Rejimon’s mobile phone. The leaked details were reportedly connected to the auction and tender process involving 110 shop rooms, which was scheduled to be conducted on September 28.
The incident had triggered complaints regarding the transparency of the tender process at Sabarimala.
Jayakumar said the investigation is continuing to determine whether other officials were also involved in the alleged leakage or irregularities.
The TDB is examining the circumstances surrounding the leak and the handling of confidential information related to the auction process.
