Sabarimala Ayyappa Yuva Seva Samithi

Forest Department Warns Pilgrims of Wild Animal Movement on Pulmedu Route

Pilgrims traveling to Sabarimala traditionally use three main routes: Chalakayam–Pamba, Erumeli–Pamba, and the Sathram–Pulmedu–Sannidhanam path.

With the Karthigai month’s Makara Jyothi darshan approaching, the number of devotees opting for the Pulmedu route has increased significantly.

The Forest Department has warned Ayyappa devotees that there is active wild animal movement along the Pulmedu route. Due to these conditions, officials have specifically advised pilgrims to avoid the Urakuzhi waterfalls area and to stick to permitted and monitored paths.

Authorities have urged devotees to follow all safety instructions to ensure a safe and peaceful pilgrimage experience.
