Tractor Overturns at Sabarimala, Eight Pilgrims Including Children Injured

Sannidhanam: Yesterday, a tractor accident occurred at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam, in which a tractor overturned and fell into a group of pilgrims, injuring eight people, including two children. The incident took place at evening. All the injured were admitted to hospital.

The accident involved a tractor used for transporting waste. Due to heavy rainfall, the driver lost control of the vehicle on a steep road. The mishap occurred on the Swami Ayyappan Road.

Among the injured are one person from Kerala, five from Andhra Pradesh, and two from Tamil Nadu. Two of the injured from Andhra Pradesh sustained fractures to their arms. All the victims were initially shifted to Pamba Hospital.

The injured have been identified as Veera Reddy (30), Thetsamma (50), Druvanch (10), Nitheesh Reddy (26), Sunitha (55), Radhakrishnan (69), Veeraman, and Kanish Kumar (8). Radhakrishnan was later transferred to Kottayam Medical College, while Veeraman, a native of Tamil Nadu, was shifted to Konni Medical College for further treatment.
