Guruvayur Devaswom Distributes ₹9.85 Crore Aid to Temples and Veda Pathshalas
Guruvayur: An assistance fund of ₹9.85 crore has been allocated by the Guruvayur Devaswom to 1,521 temples and nine Veda Pathshalas across Kerala. The distribution of the financial aid was recently inaugurated by Devaswom Minister V. N. Vasavan.
This year, around 2,000 applications were received for the assistance. The Guruvayur Devaswom Managing Committee conducted direct inspections of applicant temples from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod before selecting those eligible for financial support.
At the function held at the Keezhakke Nada Poonthanam Auditorium, Devaswom Commissioner M. G. Rajamanikyam attended as the chief guest. Chairman V. K. Vijayan and Administrator O. B. Arunkumar informed that representatives of the temples sanctioned with funds should collect their cheques from the Poonthanam Hall.
